Our protagonist did eveything she could to keep her mother-in-law safe! She made her extra loaves without cinnamon, was careful not to cross-contaminate, and warned her MIL over and over before she decided to indulge.

Even though this was not our protagonist's fault in the slightest, I personally would never make anything with cinnamon in it again for a family event. I just wouldn't want to deal with MIL's drama.

Woman with cinnamon allergy accuses daughter-in-law of poisoning her despite ignoring her clear warnings against eating her homemade dessert: "It was clear she was not going to listen"
If you have a mild food allergy or intolerance, you may find yourself indulging in foods that you're not supposed to eat. No, you will never catch people with severe peanut allergies "cheating" with a spoonful of Jiff, but some allergies just cause some discomfort than anything. For example, I am lactose intolerant, but I can stomach eating cheese about once every two days with zero issue. If I want to indulge more, I know that I will have to face the consequences, and sometimes I deem them worth the extra dairy.
In our story today, a woman with a cinnamon allergy refuses to heed any warnings regarding her daughter in-law's cinnamon cake dessert. Our protagonist, the DIL in question, even made her MIL smaller, personal loaves with no cinnamon so that she wouldn't feel left out, but the stubborn woman insists on going for it anyway. Instead of taking accountability for her actions when her body reacts negatively, she blames our protagonist for bringing a sweet temptation into her home.
